    Is Homosexuality And Incest A Crime?

    Salaam,

    We all know in Islam homosexuality/Incest is a sin. But, is it a crime, such that it is punishable in this world? And, if it is a punishable crime, does this punishment only apply to Muslims or to everyone, including non-Muslims?

    As you stated, these are definitely big sins. While there are no punishments prescribed in the sharia for these acts, a state has the right to legislate and enforce punishments for any crimes. State punishments of this kind are generally applicable to everyone.

      Quick question Faisal sb, can a state impose punishment of Zina prescribed in Quran in such cases?

      Yes in accordance with the principle of amrahum shura baynahum, if a state decides to implement the same punishment as zina it can do so.
