If you have assets and/or earnings above nisab then zakat is due on you. Once you calculate zakat, you can deduct any direct or indirect taxes you have paid from your zakat. If there’s any portion left then you should pay it, however, if you have already paid more taxes then zakat due then you don’t owe anything.
