The Name "Ahmad" In The People Of The Book
Peace!
The Quran says in Surah al-Saff that Jesus foretold the Last Prophet by his name, Ahmad. Why didn’t Christians name their children Ahmad? I remember Ghamidi Sahab saying that the Christians did in fact have Ahmad as a name (or maybe the Jews). Am I remembering correctly? If yes, what is the source?

The translators of the bible translated the name Ahamd too as helper, intercessor etc. it is reported that Some Jews of Arabia named their sons as Muhammad before the appearance of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
