Can I tell my Hindu friends that…Allah is the standard Arabic word for God and is used by Arabic-speaking Christians and Jews as well as by Muslims?can I post this thing in facebook as well?

Please verify… It’s okay to tell them this if they don’t know what Islam is or should I just recommend them to read Quran
