Is Zakat Applicable On Last Year's Remaining Salary?

At the end of a year e.g 2021 after paying zakat on salary the leftover money from this salary will be carried over to the next year. While calculating zakat for 2022 do we again add this leftover money from last year salary to calculate zakat??
