Permissibility Of Full Body Hair Removal
It is common for women to visit salons where full body hair removal services are professionally offered by female staff. Recently I read that such services are not permissible for body parts that fall under ‘awra’ (between navel and knees), because women cannot look/touch each other’s awra unless absolutely necessary. I used to think that this should be permissible because there is no element of ‘fahashi’ or ‘pleasure’ in such services and is done professionally for purely hygienic/aesthetic reasons. Can you please clarify?
