    What’s the quantitative difference between these two concepts? Isn’t saying ‘the method of salah is xyz’ just blindly following forefathers?

    I have shared this definition of ijma and tawatur with you many times before. Here it is again.

    For something to meet the condition of tawatur it must be perpetually and concurrently transmitted through generations from the very first day by such a large body of people that their conspiring or colluding on a lie must be incomprehensible. Ijma in this context refers to consensus of the entire ummah.
