There is lot of difference in sunnah. How can we properly check which thing is sunnah or which is not. I saw a thread where it’s mentioned that material of cross checking is Bible, Hadeeth(Historical Records), Books of Fiqah, Tawatur. But ghamidi sb never pursue this argument. He is only strict to Tawatur and Books of Fiqah.

My question is that women do sajdah with some strange method. This thing is also continuously moving in our families (Tawatur). So how can we prove that this is not sunnah without hadeeth.

As Rafa ul Yadein is also another thing which is considered as mustahib sunnah because with the help of tawatur, we get to know that some people are doing this while others are not. In the same way, why can’t we say sajdah of woman is also mustahib sunnah. Because some woman do this while others not. And this thing is also part of tawatur.

In order to meet the condition of tawatur it must be perpetually transmitted through generations from the very first day by such a large body of people that their conspiring or colluding on a lie becomes near to impossible. Ijma refers to consensus of the Muslims’ Knowledge (‘Musalmanon kai ilm ka ijma‘) which has been incorporated in ‘Fiqh Books‘ throughout the generations. None of the examples mentioned above meet this criteria. For further details on the topic of Sunnah, please see:
