Length Of Makruh Times Of Salah
Assalamoalaikum,
I understand the concept behind Makrooh times after watching Dr. Shehzad Saleem YouTube video.
My question is regarding length of the two Makrooh times.
Some say it is 15 minutes and some go upto 30 minutes and now a days some apps are going upto 40 minutes.
What is authentic and how long should I wait (at sunset and sunrise)

Principle is that no Salah should be offered or prostration done at the exact moments of Sunset and Sunrise. Extra15-20 minutes before and/or after are timings of caution . But the actual happening of sunset and sunset to the best of my knowledge do not take that much time. As a rough average you can say 2 to 5 minutes (the exact timing depends on certain factors). The rest is a matter of application and a matter of caution. It’s upto the individual howmuch cautious they want to be while applying this principle.
