Distribution Of Inheritance When A Child Helped Build A Property
Assalam u Alaikum! I have a question about Inheritance that if one of the siblings helps the father in building house and that house is his father’s property, now father has died and that sibling is insisting that he wants the money that he has given for building the house back and also the profit on that money and other siblings are saying that division of the property should be according to shariah because it was the property of their father, what should be done in this regard?

If the initial contribution by the sibling was a loan then the inheritance should be distributed after the loan has been repaid to that sibling. However, if there was no loan agreement then it was a gift. In that case the property solely belonged to the father and that sibling has no claim over it other than his due share as per the shares ordained by God.
