Not every Hadith becomes a religious injunction. We need to identify the directives that are religious and the ones that merely relate to social life of the Prophet (Sws). This narration, if rightly attributed, has no religious significance and has more to do with the knowledge of that time and Prophets, being a member of the same society, are not immune to such knowledge as well. It is only religious knowledge which is free from any error.
