In Sura Najam it has been mentioned that Prophet saw Gabriel at Sidra tul Muntaha and as proof of witnessing while awake Ghamidi Sahib has mentioned that

Holy Quran 53:17

مَا زَاغَ الْبَصَرُ وَمَا طَغَىٰ

آنکھ نہ کسی طرف پھر نہ حد سے بڑھی

So one can deduct that Prophet saw him while awake by going physically to Sadra tul Muntaha

But in full context it was part of journey to heavens.

So how this discrepancy may be explained
