Did Prophet Expel Hypocrites From The Mosque??
Our Barelvi brothers often justify expelling Muslim brothers from mosque who do not belong to thier sect, by saying that Prophet saw too expelled munafiqeen from the mosque by calling out names of each of them.
Is it authentic ahadith?? How should we respond to them??

I am unaware of such thing. No one was aware who was munafiq.
It is rported that Abd-Allah ibn Ubayy who was known for his enimity towards Islam when died prophet Mohahmaad saw prayed for him
https://sunnah.com/nasai:2020Prophets are helped by Allah they can know who is on straight path who is not. Even if he did it, it would have with the advise of God. Ask them for references. I am sure they will be not authentic. Only event I know is of MAsjid e zarar which was demolished by the order of Prophet Mohammad saw.
A common person has no idea who is on right path and who is not.

They provide reference from al mujam al awsat 792.
Comman response to this wud be “this act was later forbidden from allah to pray janazah of munafiqeen”
And according to them every one who doesnt belong to thier sect is either gumrah or gustakh

Apart from the authenticity of Ahadith, we know from the Quran that not all the hypocrites were exposed. However, this is only the for of the prophet to know from God who is actually a hypocrite. So no one has authority to declare someone kafir or Munafiq and expel him from the mosque. It is by no means an attitude ascribed to a Muslim.
