Please read Return of the God Hypothesis by Stephen Meyer. Other titles by the same author are also worth a read.

There’s no scientific refutation of evolution. The main difference among scientific community arises on nature of that Evolution and whether such an evolution can take place without ‘intelligent design‘ in the first place to begin with. The main discord is between Neo-Darwanian mode of Evolution and Other mode of evolution involving intelligent design.
