No, this is not true. Everyone is responsible for their own deeds, once they reach age of maturity.
The only responsibilty of Husband is to not let any Munkar / Evil committed by his wife and children under his roof, becaue He is the head of the family and has authority over them to stop any evil that they may intend to commit under his roof.
