I want to ask why did the Allah punish qaume loot for homosexuality when today ists established its a mental disease even Ghamidi Saab has the same stand that it’s a disease so why punish them instead of cure.

Neither has it been scientifically established nor does Ghamidi sahab holds the opinion that homosexuality is a mental illness in all cases.
The nation of Lot was punished as per the law of Itmam-e-Hujjah for denying the message of Prophet Lot.
