    Assalam Alaykum,

I heard many times from Ghamidhi sahab that Jihad (War) is Only allowed against injustice.

Question: 1. What was the reason of the Jihad against Byzantine and Persians by muslim caliphs? Also the wars against Byzantine during Prophet’s time (Muta and Tabuk).

    Please explain.

As per Quran, Jihad can be classified in two distinct categories:

    i) Firstly, against injustice and oppression.

ii) Secondly, against those who reject the truth after it has been conclusively communicated to them.

This was not Jihad against injustice against these empires. These invasions were done in accordance with the ‘Law of Itmam-e-Hujjat‘ where the rejectors of truth were punished in this world after completion of Proof done by a Rasool (sws). And this was last time done by the Prophet Muhammad (sws) on Arabs and on nearby nations including Roman and Persian Empires. This requires some detailed reading of the subject-matter.
