  • Should One Repent If He Feels That He Will Do It Again?

The question is ” should one repent if he feels that he will do same kind of minor sin again or he is involved in somwhere where some kind of minor sins usually happen?”..

Let’s give few Conditions. Hope will get a satisfactory reply.

1)If a Muslim actor does some kind of kissing scenes or any type of scenes which can fall in the category of “minor sins”. And he knows that he won”t commit zina. So can he due his repentance untill when he will be able to Stop himself. Like A big actor can sign that they won’t do such scenes. So can he wait until he become a big actor or resign from acting later on. Will he be accountable for doing this? Cause If one avoid major sins , all his minor sins will be forgiven by Allah. Also I think he will be rewarded cause after being so close he avoided.

2.If Someone is in a relationship before marriage. Let him be in his 20’s and can’t marry to the one he’s in love due to some genuine reason but will surely marry when the right time will come. In a character wise he doesn’t see, touch or talk to anyone in a lustful manner. And he does express his love only to the person he is committed to. Sometimes loose talks or anything happens which may fall in the category of minor sins. And he is trying to avoid these but sometimes it just happen intentionally or unintentionally as he is in a habit to be open with her. But he knows that he won’t commit zina. So in this case can he delay his repentance until the time when he will know that it won’t happen again or till his marriage.? Also “Minor sins are forgiven if one avoid the major sins”. And here also I think that he will be rewarded cause he had the fear of zina and avoided the act.

In both the cases, they are god-fearing. One is bound to profession and the other is bound to his habitual norm . In the both cases their intentions are good and also trying.

We are here for a test. Certain acts are forbidden which lead to major sins. That is why God says Don’t go near Zina.

The situations you mentioned are like playing with the fire.

The principle God has told us is that he will forgive minor sins if major sins are avoided.

Now the person has to decide what to do.

Planned sins and delayed repentance if crossed limits into major sins they have no guarantee to be forgiven

Okay. But no guarantee to be forgiven?

I think the maturity level of a person and his nature also play a great role.

A person can have a lot of knowledge in his young age but still can be immature.

Example:-1) A person is addicted to smoking in his young age. Now days later he got to know that it can actually cause him lung cancer. Now he got terrified and tried not to smoke but somehow he smokes intetionally or unintentionally as he is addicted to it. But years later he got diagnosed with cancer . Now the real realization took place. He promised himself that now he won’t go near to smoking if he survive. And he did survive.

      2) A boy knows that if he study well he can score good marks. But he always used to ignore and follow his desire of other activities. He used to think that if he study the day before the exam he can pass it. He continue to pass in exams with this attitude but in higher classes he failed. Now the real realization hit him hard and in the next year he did top in school.

So yeah this is my point. A real realization can be felt by a person after he committed something big and he can change himself too after the real realization. As you said this life is a test so a test can be different for a different person. And Some can fail in his test in this life but he can rise again and become succesful if he’s alive.
