What are directives for “ibrat-naak” punishments in Islam. We see people in our country are very frenetic and sensitive to this. They want the felon corpse to hang in the middle of markets/streets. We don’t have many tourists coming into our country and now when they see hanging human corpses, what reaction would they have? JazakAllah

It is the matter of application and discretion of the men in authority. They may choose any form of exemplary punishment what they feel really exemplary according to the circumstances at hand. If a certain form of punishment is counterproductive, it is not necessary to insist on it.
