Can Prophet SAW Make Something Obligatory
What does Ghamidi sahab says about that Prophet SAW is”شارع”,and can he make something obligatory on people by his own? E.g there is a hadith which is weak but i have only this example in my mind to explain what i wanna say that
Jame’ Tirmidhi جامع ترمذی
Hadith # 814
Translation:
Sayyidina Ali narrated that when the verse. (3 : 97) was revealed, they said, O Messenger of Allah! ﷺ Is that every year?” So he observed silence. They said (again), “O Messenger of Allah, is that every year?” he said, “No! and if I had said Yes then that would have become fard (every year).” So Allah the Exalted, revealed: O you who believe! Question not about things which if they were disclosed to you, would annoy you. (5:101)?

In matter of deen, Prophet donot say or do anything unless guided by Allah. Quran is very clear about it.
