According to the Quran what is the evidence that marriage ties being broken with polytheists is not only due to the bara’ah stage of risalah? So if today a non Muslim converts to islam and his wife is not ahlul Kitab why would the same rules apply?

The marriage tie between polytheists and Muslims was broken due to the Bara’at stage. Not only marriage, but friendship, transmission of inheritance were forbidden.

Since we have no authority to declare that the Hujjah is completed on a person, so we are not supposed to break marriage or friendship ties and stop transmission of inheritance with non-Muslim relatives and non-relatives.

So it means that if a husband/wife of child accepts another religion or become atheist, we can not break ties with them, right?

We can, however, there’s no such requirement in Islam. Contrary to popular belief, Islamically the marriage still remains valid in such cases.
