Member December 1, 2021 at 6:14 pmwhen one does not believe in delayed gratification and goes for an instant reward he is more likely to indulge in crimes.
To invest in future, you need a belief that you would be better off in the future both here in this world and in the hereafter.
Thats why towheed is so important as it gives you a God conscious mind that governs all your choices in line with divine guidance of spending the resources God has given you on earth with justice and excellence for the benefit of mankind with a belief that it is going to come back many folds.

Moderator December 2, 2021 at 1:10 pmWe humans have been given a moral compass of differentiating good and evil and along with it, humans have also been given freedom to choose whichever path they want to follow. And all of this is impacted by a person’s wishes, whims, desires, emotions, sexual tendencies and prejudices. Sharia helps us keep all these factors in balance with the use of one’s freewill (irada-o-ikhtayar).
This was needed for the scheme of tests and trials (ibtila) to unfold with its full potential.
