Do we need to know the meaning of surah which imam recite after surah fatiha when doing namaz in masjid…or just listening to that surah is sufficient without knowing the meaning of that surah

I think majority of the people don’t even know the meaning of Sorah Fatiha and the Adhkar of the namaz even praying themselves. Every Muslim should strive to learn at least Arabic of Namaz.

It is an obligation from God that it is valid if fulfilled, regardless of understanding the meaning. As Afia sahiba stated above, we should all strive to learn the meaning of the Quran and the adhkar in the salat. However, if the meaning is not understood the salah still remains valid.
