Does A Person Become Non-muslim While Committing Some Sins?
Assalamualaikum
I came across these ahadith on social media:
Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “The adulterer is not a believer while he is committing adultery. The drinker of wine is not a believer while he is drinking wine. The thief is not a believer while he is stealing. The plunderer is not a believer while he is plundering and the people are looking to him.”
In another narration, the Prophet said, “And he is not a believer while he is killing.”
Abu Hurairah reported that Allah’s Messenger said: “When a person commits zina, eman comes out of him until it is like a cloud (over him). When he stops, eman returns to him.”
Does this mean that the one who’s doing these acts becomes a kafir while he’s doing them? Also, if he dies while doing them, would ge die as a Muslim who has committed a major sin or as a kafir?
Also, what is meant by zina in this context? Is it just penetrative sex (sorry for the language) or just any other form of sexual touching? Does it include touching between private parts but not the penetration? Does it include just heterosexual acts or homosexual acts as well?
Thank you
