Praying At Home When Azan Is Delayed
On the website of my local mosque, they provide the times of when the different prayers start and the time of the iqamah for those prayers. For example, it’ll say something like “Fajr begins at 6 am and the iqamah for it is at 6 30 am”. I also have a radio thing connected to a different mosque in my city which recites the Athan when it’s time to pray. Sometimes the Athan is delayed; it’ll often play like 5-20 minutes after it’s supposed to have begun according to the website. While I’m at home, is it permissable to pray as soon as its time to pray according to the website, whilst the Athan hasn’t played yet? or do I have to wait for the Athan?
