    Is Eidi A Biddat (Innovation)?

    Assalamualaikum

    There is a thing that on our both Eid children get money from elders.Is it a part of Islam,if not then will it be an innovation(bid’at) or tradition, because we used to take that with in mind as it is an Islamic thing?

    There’s no religious significance to giving or receiving money on Eid. No one presents it as being part of religion, hence there’s no bidah involved. If you used to think that it was a religious act then now your confusion should be clear in this regard.
