Zayf the video shared by Ali should answer your concern. The key point to understand is that hadith narrations are not supposed to be understood in isolation. Since many of them do not relate the proper context, they must be understood in the light of the Quran as well as other narrations on the same topic.

Member January 23, 2022 at 1:16 amSalam ,
btw Faisal sahab, thnks for clarifying that our contribs are welcome….i had been hesitant earlier in contributing.btw Zayf sahab ,I found a salafi opinion here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WfZS3KNL214
(I’ve already read salafi islamqainfo too)
. Although imvho according to my deficient understanding, their salafi way of understanding hadeeth is different from ghamidi sahab. It appears as soon as there is a saheeh label and that too for more than one narration, they would go onto say it must be that content of all narrations with saheeh label is true. Thus it seems as a princpal they would forcefully reconcile all narrations. Rather than thinking this part of conversation may have been missed out from that particular narration etc.I think the “if” part in bukhari 5094 strenghtens drshehzad’s narrative. I do not know drshehzad’s source though.
In general it appears believing in (superstitions/bad omens) are disliked in our deen so this perhaps also strengthens drshehzad’s narrative. To be very honest reading hadeeth narrations independently(not in light of other sources) have caused me doubts as well. I think it is because we have lots of material, and narrators might have misunderstood etc.

But the hadith is not like “if it would have existed” it clearly states “If there is evil omen in anything, it is in the house, the woman and the horse.” Bukhari 5094
It’s a clear statement that Prophet Muḥammad ﷺ made there. Yes this is matter of “if” but it seems more like “whenever there is bad omen then it must he in woman, house and the horse”
That’s my understanding of this Hadith and i would still ask @faisalharoon sir to give the source of full hadith it would definitely clear all doubts.

Abū Hassān reports that two people came to ’A’ishah and said to her that Abū Hurayrah narrates that the Prophet used to say that bad luck is to be found only in women, horses and houses. At this, ‘A’ishah became very angry and said: “By the God who revealed the Qur’ān to the Prophet, the Prophet never said this; what he did say was that the People of the jāhilliyyah say that bad luck is found in a woman and in a house and in an animal.”
