Science And End Of Death / Immortality
Posted by Abdullah AbdulRahman on January 31, 2022 at 2:35 pmASSALAMUALAIKUM
Today scientists are trying to overcome death (and they may get success). So is they get success so what about the verse that” every soul shall taste death”.And a Hadith which we get (if it’s Sahih) that Gibreel AS said that very few people of your Ummah will exceed 100 years. (i tried to find it but didn’t get it now somewhere).
So if they succeed in overcome death ?

Brother Abdullah can share where u’ve read this
As far as I know, there r some companies offering cryogenics. Free ur brain after death and re insert in another human once the technology advances.
These “what if” questions r very difficult. Just like we can say it’ll never happen, it’s a conjecture(rationally speaking) similarly if we say it’ll happen, it’s also a conjecture.
Seems like aging and destruction is within laws of nature, unless we figure out a way to negate laws of nature, it’s not possible. Since man is bound by laws of nature/physics, it doesn’t seem likely that we can live forever.

Just like we can’t imagine what’s it’s gonna be in next 200 yrs. We can have some ideas based on our current state. Currently our science is eons away from defying death, space travel or habitation on Mars

As I said earlier, we have all the evidence that death will not be defeated due to nature of laws of physics and biology. Animate objects systems deteriorate invariably
Anything else is conjecture. Something that hasn’t happened and all evidence points towards that it’ll never happen then our belief should be that it’ll never happen! That’s the rational and scientific way of thinking
Anyways, if it ever happens then Quran would be regarded false.

IMO the best science can do is to increase the average age of a human being over the next few decades e.g if it’s 80-85 now it can go to 100-120 but there must an upper limit of a human lifespan.
