Quran 2:286 (Allah Does Not Charge A Soul Except Its Capacity)
Allah does not charge a soul except [with that within] its capacity. It will have [the consequence of] what [good] it has gained, and it will bear [the consequence of] what [evil] it has earned. “Our Lord, do not impose blame upon us if we have forgotten or erred. Our Lord, and lay not upon us a burden like that which You laid upon those before us. Our Lord, and burden us not with that which we have no ability to bear. And pardon us; and forgive us; and have mercy upon us. You are our protector, so give us victory over the disbelieving people.” Quran [2.286].
“Allah does not charge a sould except it’s capacity”.
“Our lord burden us not with that which we have no ability to bear”.
Can someone explain me this verse?.
What does it actually mean?.
1) Every day so many people do commit suicide due to mental depression, and many reasons. Why Allah burdens them so much beyond their ability?
2) Women are raped irrespective of their age.
3). So many innocent people get killed ….many points are their.
What is the exact meaning behind this verse..?

It is not about worldly burdens, rather, this verse is about the religious directives of Islam i.e. God doesn’t give Shariat that is beyond human capacity. As can be seen w.r.t relaxations given in Ibadah (‘when there is undue hardship‘) and in matters of Halal and Haram (‘when there is a matter of life and death‘). Similarly, the verse continues that every soul shall be be responsible for their own deeds.

لاَ يُكَلِّفُ اللّهُ نَفْسًا إِلاَّ وُسْعَهَا لَهَا مَا كَسَبَتْ وَعَلَيْهَا مَا اكْتَسَبَتْ رَبَّنَا لاَ تُؤَاخِذْنَا إِن نَّسِينَا أَوْ أَخْطَأْنَا رَبَّنَا وَلاَ تَحْمِلْ عَلَيْنَا إِصْرًا كَمَا حَمَلْتَهُ عَلَى الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِنَا رَبَّنَا وَلاَ تُحَمِّلْنَا مَا لاَ طَاقَةَ لَنَا بِهِ وَاعْفُ عَنَّا وَاغْفِرْ لَنَا وَارْحَمْنَآ أَنتَ مَوْلاَنَا فَانصُرْنَا عَلَى الْقَوْمِ الْكَافِرِينَ
“[This is a fact that] God does not burden a person beyond his capacity. [It is His law that] he alone will get what it earned and he alone will pay for what he did [25] – Lord, take us not to task if we forget or lapse into error, and Lord, do not lay on us a burden such as You laid on those before us. And Lord, do not burden us with what we cannot bear. And pardon us, and forgive us our sins, and have mercy upon us. You alone are our Lord and help us against these disbelievers [who are confronting us as enemies]“. (Quran 2:286)

In between the prayer, this parenthetical sentence is to assure and give glad tidings to the Muslims that the new responsibility which is being imposed on the ummah is not beyond its capacity and every person will be held accountable for it as regards the extent of his faith and deeds. Neither will a person be held accountable for something which was beyond his control, nor will the faith and deeds of a person be of any benefit or harm for others. Whatever a person will sow, it will reap. Whatever bad deed he does, he alone will pay for it.
