When Does Nazar Become Effective And Under What Conditions
Assalamualaikum
If someone would say that if that happens,e.g one says if i get A in test then i will feed ten poors.So first is it ok because someone said that its like you are setting conditions with Allah and secondly if he doesn’t get A so would he be obliged to feed 10 poors?

Nazar is also a form of oath, if done with the intention of making a promise in front of Allah.

So in the above condition, if he doesn’t get grade A,so he doesn’t need to feed 10 poors etc ?
And is it ok because someone said that its like you are setting conditions with Allah(Allah k saath shart lagana,k mera yeh kaam ho jaye to yeh kar dun ga weghaira).

Breaking of a nazar has the same Kaffara as that of breaking of Qasam.
“If one makes a promise/commitment to Allah that if one gets A Grade then they will feed 10 poor people“, that nazar is as good as an oath made to Allah (Qasam) and its kaffara, in case one breaks it, would be the same as that of breaking an oath.

But in this case, it’s not broken by that person,but it’s not fulfilled. So no kaffara then?
