After many years of marriage a husband is told out abt his wife past that she was subjected to incest sexual activities for long period of time at early age …She was not beaten or threatened and was just lured in by family members by talk. And then at age of 16 she started going out with men for money because her mother misguided her. does this make her guilty? Should she be punished ? what should the husband do now after two kids from marriage.

Waiting for your reply and guidance.

    JazakAllah.

Husband doesn’t have to do anything except being the best husband he can be. Do not remind her of her past. Be a good muslim by action and encourage her to follow deen

Whatever she did before marriage is not of any concern to the husband. It’s between her and her God.

Can any reference or hadith be quoted for such a similar case? Also a general question is what is the age for a boy or girl at which he she can be held accountable for actions.

The husband doesn’t have to do anything specifically. If he can’t live with his wife in this situation then of course he has the option of divorcing her. However, this must only be done after calmly judging the situation and due contemplation.

A person is accountable for their actions in front of God after the age of maturity. As for the worldly laws, it can vary from one society to another and can also vary in time.

I don’t recall any Hadith narrations for a similar case. Perhaps the following thread will be helpful:
