    Assalamualaikum

whether we have right to compel our youngster or any other muslim to do something which we think is mandatory in islam like offering namaz o threatning girls to wear Hijab or anything else..or we just have to tell them what is right nd wrong nd let them decide wat they want to do ??

I heard Mr Faiz Syed an islamic scholar of IRF that Hazrat Abu bakr R.A used to stand outside the mosque nd cut the clothe below the anckle..

As far as the injunctions of religion are concerned like prayer and fasting, it is the matter of teaching and insistence, but we are not supposed to punish them, especially the adult ones, but we can reprimand them. However if the matter is of ethical nature, we can take administrative measures. There is no coercion in religion.

Nd sir we often heard that after Death of Muhammad (p.b.u.h) many muslims refused to pak zakat but That time too Abu Bakr R.A said that i will take it any how…

so what is different there…was it not coercion

Below ankles lowering ones garments was a symbol of pride and arrogance at that time, Abu Bakr took this administrative step. so it was an ethical problem.

Zakat is the right of the government, and government can take it forcefully if people claim to be Muslims. refusing to pay zakat being Muslims is rebellion.
