1) Since the Quran is a book of guidance, is there any reward for reading and understanding it?.
2) If a person reads the quran only for reward but not for understanding, then will he be rewarded?

Refer to following video for 1 and 2. Translation of small surah and fatiha can be memorised easily. Only Allah knows whose prayers are accepted.

Yes, translations are easy to memorize but most people do not memorize them. So is it necessary to know the translation for the prayers to be accepted or a niyat is enough. I just want to know the principle.
