‘Tarwih‘ is a Nafil Salah and is nothing but Tahajjud Salah being prayed early. Therefore, there’s no number fixed in religion for Nafil Salah. As per Uswa of the Prophet (sws), He used to pray 11 rakats of Tahajjud. But there’s nothing which obligates all Muslims to pray with the same number of Rakats. Therefore, there can be any number Tarawih Salah considering one’s ease.
