  • Division Of Knowledge Into A-priori And A-posteriori

In chapter 17 of the Book Maqamat by Ustad Ghamidi, in the first paragraph he says that Knowledge is divided into بدیهی and نظری

Could you please explain which scholar has divided it in to those categories?

    Regards

Aristotle pointed out the distinction between these two types of knowledge in his works Organon. Later Immanuel Kant explained the difference in much detail in his work Critique of Pure Reason. Imam Farahi also based his theory of knowledge on the same principle.

Regardless of the names of scholars, the difference between two types of knowledge is very obvious. Mathematics, deductive reasoning, and tautology are examples of a-priori knowledge that don’t require empirical evidence. A-posteriori knowledge, on the other hand, depends on empirical evidence, for example, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and all other natural sciences.
