Quran 33:40 – No More Revelation (Khatam-e-Nabuwat)
ASSALAMUALAIKUM
Under Aayat 33:40
[In reality,] Muḥammad is the father of no male [92] among you; in fact, he is the Messenger of God and the seal of the prophets. [Hence he alone had to fulfil this responsibility [93]] and God has knowledge of all things.[94]
Ghamidi sahab wrote in footnote:
The Prophet (sws) has repeatedly declared in clear and explicit words that he himself is the last of the prophets. Furthermore, he has also made it clear that not only the rank and position of prophethood have been terminated, its essence has also been terminated. Thus no possibility remains for a person to receive divine revelations or visions or to converse and come in contact with God. After the termination of the institution of prophethood, all these things have ended too. (See:Al-Bukhārī, nos. 3335, 3455, 6990)
How it can be said from this Ayah that no more revelation can come, and there is a full stop on revelation from God now (except good dreams)?
