Agar koi banda for example 50 lac se kam start karta hai aur usy monthly kuch profit hona shuru hu jata hai. Wu profit par 10% zakat pay karta rehta hai. Lekin aik bar aysa b hota hai k usy loss hota hai aur us k pas capital amount men se sirf 46 lac reh jaty hen. Suppose next time usy 10 lac profit hu gya aur us k pas total amount 56 lac ho jati hai. Ab usy zakat (10%) 10 lac par deni ho gi ya capital amount se uper walay 6 lac only par?

Production zakat is calculated as follows:

5% on amount earned from both labor and financial investments (e.g. profit from manufacturing or service businesses)

10% on amount earned from either labor or financial investments (e.g. salary or capital gains)

20% on amount earned without labor or financial investments (gifts from God e.g. found treasures)

This zakat becomes due at the time of production (e.g. paycheck or service fee is received). If needed, it can also be delayed and paid once a year in lump sum. For a business where profits and losses are volatile from one month to the next, it makes more sense to sum up the profits and losses once a year and pay zakat on the remaining amount.

Mera sawal ye hai k agar koi banda 50 lac se start karay aur 2 businesses men invest karay. Ek men loss hu gya aur dusray men profit, ab jo loss aik business men se hua for example 4 lac loss hua aur dusray business men se 6 lac profit hua to kiya zakat 6 lac par banay gi ya 2 lac per?

The number of businesses does not matter. Zakat would be paid on the total amount earned (profit-loss) for the period.
