  • Why Did Injeel Include Hikmah After Torah & Why Quran Has Both Kitab And Hikmah

    Assalamualaikum

Why is it that we have Quran with AlKitab, ways of praying and AlHikmah. Containing all three subjects of Torah, Psalms and New Testament. But why is it that first only law was given and the real spirit behind that was told later in New Testament?

But do we get Hikmah in Torah? If not, so why not in written form?

Because Prophets were sent to Bani-Israel one after another continuously to remind them of this fact and to refresh their memory. They needed law in written form to fulfill their role of Shahdah as a nation.

But as Hikmah, because there was continuous coming of Prophets, why the law was not left unwritten?

And secondly because there were Prophets after Prophets, why then the Hikmah was forgotten?

Just the way Muslims today need Hikmah more than ever, despite having Quran with them because of giving overwhelming importance to Law, fiqh, sects and jurisprudence and ignoring Hikmah altogether. At some point, same was the case with Bani-Israel.

Law is not something like Hikmah which should be reminded everytime, it is counterproductive if done so and is always needed in written form for proper implementation. Hikmah on the other hand requires reminder over time as a measure to clear the dust of wishes, whims, emotions, arrogance etc. clouding its reality for the people.
