  • Accepting Allah’s Scheme Of Examination When Your Rationale And Intuition Don’t

I have asked related questions before as well but I have struggled in finding a satisfactory answer. I am not asking that why Allah created this scheme of examination, I just wanted to know if there’s any way one can feel at home with it when his heart, and mind doesn’t accept it as it is even after trying so hard.

Should this be just accepted and one should say, ‘Allah knows better’ and refrain from addressing the thousands of questions that arise while observing the world (seems to me like a nihilistic one where everything just feels indifferent especially when it comes to human suffering). So, there’s this clash between the heart and mind, it feels like I am trying to numb the pain of an indifferent world out there by using religion as a source that gives meaning to everything and promises an afterlife but that اللہ کی معرفتُis not the real objective, so I feel like a hypocrite.

First you need to confirm that what religions tells about the scheme of examination and eternal reward for suffering and acting upon religion is true or not, only then you can satisfy your problem. if you take it as a philosophy which possible answers the question of suffering, makes things apparently meaningful it is not enough. To believe or to investigate the truth of religion you need to have some knowledge and arguments which we present.

if you have come to believe in the truth of the religion, and still could no reconcile with the decision of God for launching this examination, then God tells us that this is what we ourselves chose before we were given life. He presented his huge scheme to heavens and the earth, they refused our of fear but man came forward and accepted it. an analogy of this is the mountaineers. no one asks them to climb the mountains, but they do. They can’t help feel like to do that. Same is the case of ours. we opted for this life.

Man at any moment can end this test by taking his life. but most of the people never choose it. It shows they do want to have this test. The energy man feels in him craves for test.

Scheme of tests and trials is secondary to belief in God. If one has professed belief in God based on arguments which are not interconnected with scheme of tests and trials, then it is God who tells us about his scheme in this world. It is a possiblity that one may diasgree with the scheme that may be a better scheme could’ve been deployed, but does this weaken the logical ground on which faith in God was established?

So if one has true faith in God (after logically concluding all the arguments) then best approach would be to accept the realities of the matter and act accordingly; which in this case is the scheme of tests and trials at play as a measure to select pure souls for the hereafter. There’s no harm in questions arising inside one’s mind, but we should be cognizant of the fact that which questions are relevant to our success and can be answered in this world, and which questions cannot be answered in this world. For the latter part, the best approach is to defer them until the time is right to ask such questions. Right now, our fate hangs in the balance depending upon our faith and our deeds, for which all the relevant information has been made available to us.
