  • Revealing Embellishments Allowed In Quran Is Still Somewhat Disliked By God?

I have read that Allah has allowed women to reveal their embellishments of their hands, feet and face before unknown men.

But is it true that Allah has allowed it but he still dislikes it if women do so?

The verse 24:31 allows women to keep bare what usually stays bare even if adorned in front of men, and there is no mention of dislike of God. So we cannot assume that God dislikes it or prefers not to disclose them.

So sir @Irfan76 this means that for women, Allah has not discouraged adornments on hands, face and feet in front of men because these have been exempted in this verse, for example make up that is done only on face is not discouraged, right?

Will be extremely thankful if you could just answer this

      JazakAllah

@Irfan76 in continuation with the previous question

Or is it desirable in Islam to still avoid embellishing the hands, face and feet ?

    Dear Maha,

Yes, the face is the foremost part exempted to be bare with adornment.

Answer to the second question, It is rather desirable to adopt adornment and embellishment. To take it otherwise is not desirable. See the verse:

Ask them [O God’s Messenger]: Who has forbidden you the adornments of the Almighty which He had created for His servants, and who has forbidden the wholesome among the edibles? [336] Tell them: They are for the believers also even in this world [but God has also given the disbelievers a share in them]; [337] and on the Day of Judgement, they shall be theirs alone. [The disbelievers shall have no share in them.] Thus do We explain Our revelations for those who want to know. (7:32)
