Speculation And Gambling
1) What does Islam says about zero sum games like futures and options trading. In zero sum games, there has to be majority people making loss so that few people can earn it as profit. Even though the reason behind this is discipline, this model seems to be standing on incorrect morals. What does Islam says about it.
2) What is defination of Gambling and what is the principle to differentiate which activites come in gambling and which doesn’t count as gamble.
3) What about fantasy games where people have to make some judgements based on their logic that which players will perform good in today’s match. Even though gambling is illegal in india but these fantasy sites are legal so it seems they’re not gambling.
4) What is ‘kur’aa andazi’. I’ve read it in many books that sahaba decided something by ‘Kur’aa andazi’.
5) Does probability factor plays any important role in decision of considering something as gambling, like tossing coin to decide who’s gonna bat first isn’t gambling but playing cards where one out of 10 people is going to win is. Both events are purely based on luck but probability is 50% in first case whereas it is 10% in second case. Does this define?
Thanks in advance
