Assalamualaikum
If one person is saying himself Muslim then we don’t have any right to say him kafir. But when musailma kazzab said himself a prophet then in that he was saying himself Muslim also, then why did Sahaba RA did battle against him?

If you check the details, he had correspondence with Prophet Mohammad saw and asked him to join the force. In reality, Prophet Mohammad saw told that he is a false prophet who is defying actual prophet. Their punishment was result of itmam hujjah
