It is not selfish, it is human to work for a reward and comfort and pleasure of God which the the greatest blessing. Selfishness is when we usurp someone’s to benefit ourselves, otherwise we always work for a return either in terms of personal pleasure or satisfaction of conscience or some material gains. To work for material gains is too natural and commendable unless one transgress or usurp.
