Divorcing An Apostate Spouse
Assalamualaikum
The purpose of marriage is to take care of the coming generation. If one of two non Muslims parents becomes Muslim, then he/she will leave his non Muslims spouse but if there are children then, would they divorce ignoring children?

How, like at one end marriage between a Muslim and a polythiest is not legal and at the other end the institution of marriage is for the sake of children. So if two polytheists married and had children but one of them becomes Muslim so which end to go??
