  • Quran 2:62 – Belief In The Finality Of Prophet Muhammad SAW

Posted by Noor Khan on September 25, 2022 at 1:00 pm

I was reading Quran and came across the verse

انالذین امنو والذین ہادو والنصری والصبیئین من امن بااللہ والیوم الاخر و عمل صالحا فلہم اجرھم عند ربھہم. و لا خوف علیھم و لا ھم یحزنون.

The verse has made me think that why does it not mention Risalat, especially Khatam-an-Nabuwa, as a mandatory belief? Does it mean anything else other than its literal meaning? Was that relief canceled?

Kindly guide me and help me get rid of these doubts.

    JazakALLAH

Belief in the finality of prophethood is required by those people to whom the message of Prophet Muhammad SAW has reached and they have understood it and then believed in it. Quran verse 2:62 on the other hand is relating the minimum required criteria for the paradise, and this criteria does not require belief in the finality of prophethood. For details please see:
