In Quran it is mentioned that Allah looks not at your appearance but at your heart.

And something in the lines of one comes with a sound or clean heart before his Lord he or she will be successfull.

But question is how do we have a clean heart or purified heart what does that mean because we are not prophets and also we are not saints. We normal people how would we keep our hearts pure?

It is very vague and big requirement because we are humans we will get jealous we do have a little hate towards ugly people and we do judge people upon their looks and status. That can not be undone in a normal human.

So how is This even possible as a requirement for humans?

Can anyone explain this to me kindly?

    Thank you

That part you are refering is not in the Qur’an, it’s in a hadith. The whole hadith is this:

Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Verily, Allah does not look at your appearance or wealth, but rather He looks at your hearts and actions.” (Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 2564)

The success of Hereafter does not depends on some perfect heart. Even prophets and saints were not above things you mentioned, they too had emotions like jealousy and hatred. What the Qur’an asks is heart that seeks the path to Allah.

And Paradise will be brought near to the righteous, not far, “This is what you were promised – for every returner [to Allāh] and keeper [of His covenant]. Who feared the Most Merciful in the unseen and came with a heart returning [in repentance].(Qur’an 50:31-33)

Who ever makes effort to seek Allah’s reward will find success Inshallah. Anything that lacks in your heart, Allah will make up for it but what is required from you, is effort, not perfection.

Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet (ﷺ) said, “Religion is very easy and whoever overburdens himself in his religion will not be able to continue in that way. So you should not be extremists, but try to be near to perfection and receive the good tidings that you will be rewarded; and gain strength by worshipping in the mornings, the afternoons, and during the last hours of the nights.” (Sahih al-Bukhari 39)
