    Salam. Mai ne nazar mani thi k mera bacha theek ho gaya to mai janwar zabah karonga aur ghar walo + mahalla walon ko khilaonga. Ab mera bacha theek ho gya Alhamdulillah. To ab kia mai khud us janwar ka gosht khud kha salta hon? I have searched a lot but couldnt find logical answer. Some people are saying that it is prohibited to eat from the food of your nazar/mannat….

    Anything halal for consumption does not automatically become haram just because of an oath. It really depends upon your intention at the time of making the oath. If you intended that you would distribute the whole meat then you should not eat from it yourself. Similarly, if you did not have anything particular in mind then implicitly your oath perhaps meant that you would distribute the whole offering. However, if you intended that you would make a sacrifice and then invite others to share a meal with you then obviously you can eat from it as well.

    What is important is that you completely fulfill your oath with utmost sincerity according to your intentions at the time of making the oath.
