When talking to your therapist, you have to tell them the injustices, abuse people put you through, even share with them what your family members said or did to you. Would this come potentially come under talking behind their back and gheebat?

    plz guide. thanks

Backbiting is a sin because it entails tarnishing the reputation of someone else in the absence of their presence. Sharing your experience with a therapist is not done for this purpose so it is not backbiting. Also professional therapists follow a strict code of conduct to objectively assess your situation in order to help you rather than judging the actions of others.
