Question is , in psychology we learn by the scientist Carl Jung that everyone has a shadow. Which is created by suppressing traits of our personality that are not acceptabele by society or parents. Further Carl jung explains that if we do not embrace and express our shadow and if we neglect it then soon or late it will manifest in our personality and it will dominante our personality. Question is in islam we learn also haram and halal. But how do we exercice our negatieve side in a halal way. Like those suppressed emotions like hasad, greedyness etc etc . Basically God created us like this. But does Quran or Hadith tell us how to embrace our shadow and give attention to our shadow side?

    Kindly if anyone can answer.

    Thank you

Deen does not deal with such intricacies. It tells us to be vigilant for our moral being. Human is a psychological beings. He or she develops consciously and unconsciously many traits, the concern of Deen is to make us aware of our moral self. No matter how and from where we perceive or assimilate certain traits we should not let them do something immoral or unethical. This is our test.
