Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Hurry up with the funeral (the dead body), for if it is righteous, you will be taking it forward to what is good; and if it is otherwise, you will be laying evil off your necks.”

    1. Keeping the above hadith in mind, If a muslim ruler or a former muslim king/prince dies outside his country, should he be buried at his city of death or should be taken to his homeland and buried there ?

    2. How much is the sunnah time for burial process. ? We come across narrations of Imams where the namaz janaza was done for 3 days or some thousands of people prayed namaz janaza etc

    Jazakallahu khairaa.

There is no time limit for burial specified in the Sharia, but it should be done as soon as possible. It is better to perform burial around the place where someone dies in order to not delay the burial unnecessarily.
